About CHRIST REDEMPTION BIBLE CHURCH
The Church, Christ Redemption Bible Church, took off on Thursday 10th November, 1994, as a 7-member Family Night Prayer Meeting, comprising of the Pastor, then an Elder, his wife, three children, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, in his living room at his former residence at No. 3 Olorunosebi Street Ayedere, Ketu, Lagos, Nigeria, with the full support of his Assembly Pastor and father-in-the-Lord, Pastor D.O. Akinwale of the then Christ Apostolic Church, Fadeyi Assembly, Fadeyi, Lagos, Nigeria.
In July, the same year, the prayer meeting, as a result of its growth, metamorphosed into a fellowship named, “Christian Fellowship Centre.” The group progressed in prayer and in fellowship and as directed by the Lord, on 29th of July, 1995, the first vigil of the Christian Fellowship Centre was held with about 200 people in attendance.
On 1st January, 1996, the first New Year Service was held with about 120 people in attendance. The fellowship continued to wax stronger and stronger with many people receiving salvation and solutions to their problems.
About 3-days to the end of the year, 28th Dec.1996 precisely, the man of God went to a prayer mountain at Ido-Ajinare (now Ido-ile) in Ekiti State of Nigeria to wait upon the Lord and to receive the divine direction of God concerning the “Christian Fellowship Centre” for the New Year coming (1997).
While on the mountain, the Lord, through revelation, told him what He committed into his hand is His Church and He gave him the name, “Christ Redemption Bible Church.”
The Lord told him, He (God) established the Church for the redemption of souls from Satan’s kingdom to His own Kingdom. Hence, the Lord gave him the vision, “to depopulate the kingdom of Satan and to populate the Kingdom of God”. As mandated by God, the name was announced to the whole congregation at the Watch Night Service. By the grace of God, since then the Church has been operating under the banner of this name.
The Ministry
Christ Redemption Bible Church is a Pentecostal, Bible believing Church, deeply rooted in the sound doctrine of God, and fire brand prayer. The Church, was born on 1st January 1997, and was duly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in July 1998. The Church whose headquarter is presently at No.1, Christ Redemption Avenue (former Bello Street), by Oluwalogbon Street, Ketu, Lagos, Nigeria, by the power of the Most High God and His anointing upon His servant, has become an awesome organization with vibrant and viable branches in six cities across the nation, with members spread all over the world.
The Church has expanded in scope to run her Children and Teenage arms of the Church separately, with their respective Ministers. The Church has also established her own Bible College, called, “Christ Redemption Bible College,” a Pentecostal and Charismatic training centre inaugurated by Rev. Cletus C. Orgu, the Provost of LIFE Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria, on 30th June 2007, primarily for those called into Christian Ministry as Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Missionaries, Church leaders, Counselors, Intercessors, Worship leaders etc. The Bible College has produced many graduates.
The Church, which is globally inclined, has by the grace of God penetrated into South Africa, Europe, United Kingdom, United States of America, and Canada. The Church is also having members scattered in some parts of the world. The Church is also reaching out on air to millions of people all over the world through a television programme tagged, “Heal My Land”, which is being aired on Lagos Television (LTV) and DSTV 129 every Tuesday, 9.00-9.30 p.m. Through this TV programme many souls are being saved, healed and delivered from the captivity of satan.
